Reishi (from the Japanese), or Lingzhi (from the Chinese) has been known through the ages as the ‘mushroom of immortality’, the ‘divine mushroom’ and is found as a wild species Ganoderma lingzhi in Asia. It has been in recorded use by humans for at least two thousand years.
As with all of our fungi fruits, we aren’t going to tell you that this mushroom can be used as a medicine, but you will find a huge raft of information elsewhere online including many research papers and studies involving this species.
What we can tell you is that we grow our Reishi from a cultivar called Ganoderma curtisii, with lovely golden to red colouration, often glossy surface and as with all of our species, we don’t use chemicals or additives – purely natural substrates are used in combination with carefully controlled humidity, light and temperature.
We simply grow it, dehydrate and powder it and package it to send to you. No funny business. 100% grown and packaged in Wales, United Kingdom
